Jason A. Ludwig, OD

Dr. Ludwig graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a baccalaureate degree in biology. He earned an additional bachelor’s degree in visual sciences and his Doctor of Optometry degree with clinical honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He then interned with some of the nation’s top ophthalmologists at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Laurel Eye Clinic, Providence Veterans Administration Hospital, and Nittany Eye Associates in State College Pennsylvania.

Dr. Ludwig has been practicing as an optometrist in the Washington, DC area since 2005. In 2012, he relocated back to his hometown here in Westmoreland County. Dr. Ludwig grew up in the Ligonier Valley area and now resides in Greensburg with his wife and family.  He has extensive experience in contact lenses and pre and post-operative ophthalmic surgical care. Consumers’ Research Council of America recently named Dr. Ludwig one of ” America’s Top Optometrists”, and he is board certified in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. 

In Washington DC, Dr. Ludwig served as an adjunct professor at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and is a preceptor for student externs completing their ocular disease, specialty Contact Lens, and private practice rotations.
